Since our first performances in 2006 in Bakersfield, we have gained a reputation for being one of the best choices for family and school entertainment in the Bakersfield area.  Here’s what some people have said about us:

“It was a fortuitous day when Omnipresent Puppet Theatre began performing puppet shows in Kern County. The immediacy of the puppeteers live performance (as opposed to a prerecorded track) adds to their charm, as does their original literature based scripts for their handcrafted puppets. Don is active in The Puppeteers of America, and has been gracious and imaginative in developing new shows to meet the library’s themes for our Summer Reading Program. He has been a delight to work with and is unfailingly professional and prompt with all of his appearances throughout the county.”

Sherry Wade, Youth Services Coordinator, Kern County Library

“It was delightful to see the faces of the children, eyes wide and faces smiling–they were totally engaged and entertained. We are fortunate to have in Bakersfield this type of quality live theatre for children.”
Sue Deininger, Kern Arts Council (retired)
“Omnipresent Puppet Theatre is a perfect partner with the Bakersfield Museum of Art on our Free Family Days.  Children, their parents, and caregivers are admitted free twice a year to view world class visual art exhibits and attend live threatre through Omnipresent. Families enjoy the variety of art activities and the one of a kind quality performances that only Omnipresent can produce. They truly love what they do and do for the community.”

David Gordon, Assistant Director
Bakersfield Museum of Art

“Our family has become repeat customers of Omnipresent Puppet Theater.  We have enjoyed our experiences so much at their performances, that we hired them to perform at our son’s fourth birthday party.  It was such a nice change of pace  and  unique activity to present at a birthday
party.  The kids were facinated with the puppets, and the adults with the realization that one man was performing so many characters. Omnipresent is something the whole family can enjoy.”

“We recently produced The Crane Wife, a play that required a large Crane puppet. We brought Don Kruszka in to design and build this essential component of our show. Don created a beautiful puppet in a very short amount of time. He was also able to work well with our props crew students who helped during the building process. After the bird was finished he effectively instructed the cast members who served as puppeteers on proper manipulation. We were extremely satisfied with the final product and Don’s professionalism over the course of his short stay with us.”

Ed Como, Theater Educator
Chapparall High School, Scottsdale, Arizona

“Don Kruszka was invited to perform “Jack and the Beanstalk” for the primary grades at Quailwood School. His one man puppet show was simply outstanding!  The characters were so convincingly portrayed that by the end of the performance, Mr. Kruszka has us all believing they were real. There was humor, suspense and plenty of audience involvement. He proved to be such a hit that we had him return to present “Little Red Riding Hood”. It also proved to be equally entertaining. If you want quality children’s entertainment at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Omnipresent Puppet Theater!”

Steve Duke, Principal,
Quailwood School, Bakersfield,California

“Omnipresent Puppet Theater performs classic stories and familiar characters but with a fun, original, contemporary twist. Their manipulation of the puppets and their vocal technique is exceptional; young and old get sucked into the stories. Also, as a theatre instructor who teaches our future educators, it is important for my students to see first-hand how valuable puppets are as learning tools, in and out of the classroom. Omnipresent Puppet Theater gives us a creative and professional look into theater for young audiences.”
